There are programs in place in Campbell River that support individuals and families in the community that have economic challenges. We encourage participation in leisure activities for all residents and ask you to look here for more information about the programs available.

The existing programs include:

Canadian Tire Jump Start

JumpStart is a community-based charitable program that helps kids in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation. To request funding for a program contact Jan Sandholm at 250-286-1161 for more information. 

KidsportTM So All Kids Can Play!

Is a community-based sport charity that provides grants for Canadian children age 6 to 18 to participate in a recognized sport, led by a qualified coach.

PLAY - Providing Leisure Access for You

The Strathcona Regional District through the Strathcona Gardens has created a program which allows low income individuals and families to participate in recreational services.  For more information call 250-287-9234 ext 241 or go to www.strathconard.ca

L.I.F.E. - Leisure Involvement for Everyone;

Parks Recreation and Culture. If lack of funds are hindering your participation in our programs then register for the LIFE program, which offers discounter program fees. For additional information call Linda Kubinec at 250-286-1161 or go to www.campbellriver.ca

Quality Foods Recreation Bucks;

The QF Rec Buck program enables you to redeem your QF points and receive a recreation voucher for Strathcona Gardens. 200,000 points provides a $20 voucher for recreation programs and facility passes and admissions at Strathcona Gardens.

 

 

Strathcona Gardens offers 2 for 1 swims and skates on all Pro-D days.
