Campbell River proudly boasts over 100km of signed bike routes within the city. It is also well known for the phenomenal mountain biking opportunities in the region. This is a great town for cycle commuting and all of the BC Transit buses have bike racks which may be attractive on rainy days or to help long commutes.
The City of Campbell River has a map of the cycling routes in town.
The interest and passion the community has for cycling became even more apparent in the popularity of Bike to Work Week. More and more people are learning why the commute for a biker has been proven to most often be the best part of the day; whereas for the driver, the commute is often the worst part of the day. Congratulations Campbell River for embracing Bike to Work Week and to the 99 first time commuters and 392 total cyclists that participated.
