Ripple Rock  

Campbell River Area is famous for Ripple Rock, which was a navigational hazard for many years in an area which is heavily dependant on merchant marine activities.  The Campbell River Museum has a great deal of history to offer on the "Ripple Rock Explosion"

In the early summer of 2008, the community participated in a re-enactment of the famous explosion.
